With a new set of skills, you can learn how to live a better, more fulfilling life. At Beyond Healing, we believe in working with clients to help them find the healing path that works best for them. When clients are allowed to choose their path, that freedom fosters lasting positive changes.

    Our mission is to help you experience being healed one step at a time! We understand the importance of empowering you to go at your own pace. What this means is we collaborate with you, giving each person the ability to choose their course of healing. Coming into your first therapy may be scary. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and help remove the stigma of receiving counseling.

    We specialize in treating clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, women’s Issues, relationship issues, and other diagnoses. Therapist work with clients using approaches from trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Mindfulness.

    Leah is a veteran of the United States Army who practices in Maryland as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. Her target populations are teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, adjustment issues, and relationship concerns. Leah's eclectic approach to therapy fosters a person-centered approach that encourages client self-advocacy and positive psychology. She also incorporates CBT, interpersonal, strength-based, and mindfulness-based therapy to help clients achieve their treatment goals. With these techniques, Leah creates a space for clients to learn the importance of self-care and personal advocacy.
